Q Acoustics launches Certified Installer Programme for electricians expanding into home audio

Q Acoustics has announced a new training initiative for electricians, intended to give them the skills to install its home audio systems and speakers.

The Q Acoustics Certified Installer (QCI) Programme opens up a new revenue stream for the professionals, developed in response to industry feedback.

According to these findings, there are three barriers to professional home audio installation: lack of training, concerns around product complexity, and homeowner perception.

Charlie Henderson, managing director at Q Acoustics, said: “Professional electricians told us they want to expand into home audio but feel it is too complex or challenging to get started.

“The QCI Programme removes that uncertainty by providing the right training, the right products, and the right support to succeed.”

Through three online modules, electricians can gain an understanding of home audio fundamentals, product technologies and installation best practices.

The British audio manufacturer hopes to highlight its ‘Easy Install’ range as part of the initiative, developed with reduced installation time and complexity in mind.

It says many homeowners believe that installed audio systems are complex and expensive, calling for QCI-trained electricians with the means to resolve these concerns.

Additional modules are planned for release in 2026, evolving with installer feedback.
